Another week, another style post and another outfit with *way* more colour than I used to feel comfortable with…
The Easter weekend has finally arrived HOO-bloody-RAY and the forecast is looking absolutely spectacular. I’m sure I’ve been rabbiting on about it for weeks now but the sun really does improve the mood and to head out without a jacket on (as I did today woohoo!) is just so bloody brilliant! The smell of dodgy barbecues has started to fill the air, the ciders are on ice and the alarm clocks are firmly off.

Anyway back to the matter at hand, trousers… THESE trousers… This post is solely dedicated to these bloody amazing trousers. Aren’t they just the best thing you have ever set your eyes on?! Well ok, that’s a slight over reaction but still, aren’t they just so good?! I had my eye on them for ages before seeing they’d been added to the sale and I no longer had an excuse when umming and ahhing over them. I do not regret my decision though as they are up there with my most favourite recent addition to my wardrobe. They are super high-waisted, which is the only style accepted within my wardrobe, they are super flattering, hugging and skimming in all the right places, and they are in the most insane mustard yellow colour which just makes me so incredibly happy.
This was the first day of the year that I let my toes see some sunlight and my trusty Birkenstocks were what I instantly reached for. These have been in my possession for a good three or four years now and they are just so bloody reliable. They go with my entire wardrobe, they are so easy to style and the are so damn comfortable that I can’t bear to replace them. As someone who struggles with finding good fitting sandals due to my wide feet (and swelling I suffer with in the warmer months… I swear I’m like a pregnant woman…) these are so reliable. I’m still after a good pair of comfortable chunky sandals (alà those Stella McCartney beauts, but something that’s slightly closer to my budget…) but for now, these are my closest match…

Finally a little nod to my favourite bag of the moment. This little rope bag was a spur of the moment purchase a few weeks ago when having a nosey at new in at Zara. The weather was still miserable and at the time I thought it was an unwise purchase but all I needed was a little bit of sunshine to make me realise that past me was making a good decision. Zara are killing it with their natural material bags at the moment and this one is just the tip of the summer straw bag dreams.
Whatever you’re up to this weekend I hope you have an ace one. I plan on eating a lot of chocolate eggs, drinking some ice cold ciders and, most importantly, enjoying this amazing weather…
Thanks for reading as always,
